Paint can help brighten up your world, but get some on your clothes and you’re more likely to feel frustration than joy. Paint stains are combination stains featuring pigments, grease and proteins and will vary between paint type, such as water-based paints, like acrylics, or oil-based paints. Paint dries quickly, so you need to act fast while it’s wet, ideally using cold water to remove the stain. Also, you’ll want a washing detergent, such as Ariel, with powerful laundry technology that can remove combination stains in the 1st wash. Get paint stains out of clothes with Ariel Original Washing Liquid, in just a few simple steps.
Remove paint stains
1
Remove excess
Get rid of any excess paint stains from the garment with a spoon and rinse the fabric inside out under warm, running water.
2
Pre-treat
Pour Ariel Original Washing Liquid directly onto the stain.
3
Load
Without rinsing off the washing detergent, place the garment into the washing machine with similar items. Leaving the liquid detergent on the paint stain will give your wash that extra boost of cleaning power.
4
Dose
You can use the cap to ensure you use the right amount of washing detergent. Just fill it with the correct dose of Ariel, and place it into the drum of your washing machine on top of your dirty laundry.
5
Wash
For effective stain removal, wash on the usual cycle, on the hottest wash temperature as indicated by the fabric care label.
6
Unload
When the cycle is complete, unload the garments immediately or within 2 hours maximum for great results.
If the paint stain persists after washing, repeat our previous Ariel stain solutions steps before using the tumble dryer, as drying will set the stain.
