The delights (and drawbacks) of keeping a pet
There is so much to love about pets – they’re affectionate, fun, soft to the touch, and adorable – but their stains aren’t. You can get lots of stains from your pets, the most unpleasant being urine and faeces. Most pet stains are protein based, but they can also have other components, like uric acid, which can be difficult to remove even with normal cleaning solutions like bleach. This uric acid also means it’s better to use lukewarm or cool water, as hot water can permanently set the stain and odour by bonding the protein to the fibres.
Before, when you wanted to remove pet stains from your clothes, you needed to pre-treat the stain with a liquid washing detergent – but not anymore. Thanks to Ariel Platinum PODS® + Febreze Odour Defence, you can get rid of stubborn stains as well as the unpleasant pet smells they leave behind simply and effectively. Follow our step-by-step guide and become an expert pet stain remover!
