Poop stains not only leave behind an unpleasant residue, but smell bad, too. When it comes to removing faeces stains, you’ll want to use a washing detergent that contains enzymes that break down proteins. Ariel comes equipped with powerful laundry technology with enzymes and surfactants that helps lift protein-based stains, like poo stains. Since oxygen and colour safe bleaches are also effective on these stain types, Ariel also contains bleaching agents to make sure that no trace of poop is left behind after you’ve washed your garments. Watch our step-by-step guide on how to remove poop stains, or read the instructions below.
Removing poop stains
1
Remove excess
Brush off any excess from the garment before rinsing the stain area under running water. The higher the water pressure, the easier it will be to remove poop stains.
2
Pour
Pour Ariel Original Washing Liquid directly onto the poop stain, you can pour either from the bottle or the cap. Make sure you completely cover the poo stain in detergent.
3
Pre-treat
Spread the washing detergent over the poop stain with the pre-treat cap. The flexible fins of the cap can help spread the washing liquid over the surface of the stain, and also help the liquid penetrate deep into the garment’s fibres to boost the poop stain removal process.
4
Load
Without rinsing off the washing detergent, place the garment into the washing machine with other similar items. Leaving the liquid on the poop stain will give your wash that extra boost of cleaning power to help remove faeces stains.
5
Dose
You can use the pre-treat cap to ensure that you use the right amount of washing detergent. Just fill the cap with the correct dose of detergent, and place the washing detergent directly into your washing machine’s drum, on top of your laundry.
6
Wash
Wash on the usual cycle, on the hottest wash temperature indicated by the fabric care label.
7
Unload
When the cycle is complete, unload the garments immediately.Should you be left with any faeces stains, avoid placing the stained area under heat, like an iron or a dryer, since this will set protein stains. Also, if you use any other items during the stain removal, make sure you disinfect them, along with your washing machine, to avoid spreading germs.
