Coffee and tea are both tough stains, especially if they are not treated when fresh. So to remove them effectively, they need to be pre-treated. The most effective solution to remove coffee or tea from clothes is Ariel powder, as coffee and tea stains are bleachable/oxidisable stains. Ariel powder detergent has bleach that treats bleachable stains effectively. So follow the instructions below and get rid of those pesky coffee or tea stains in the 1st go.
Tea and coffee are great tools to help you get through the day, but what about your clothes? When those drops of your hot drinks fall, you can be left with tea stains all over your blouse.
The myth may be that baking soda is best for coffee stain removal, but Ariel knows another way that doesn’t involve experimenting. Watch our step by step guide on how to get rid of coffee and tea stains from clothing, or read the instructions below.
Remove coffee stains
1
Prepare a Soaking Solution
First up, you’ll need to pre-treat the tea and coffee stained garment. Fill a sink or bucket with warm water and add half a scoop of Ariel Original Washing Powder. Mix the solution by hand until the detergent is completely dissolved.
2
Soak
Add your tea and coffee stained garments to the solution and leave to soak for an hour. If the stained garment keeps floating to the top, place a white towel on top of it to keep it fully immersed in the soaking solution.
3
Preparing to wash
Gently wring out the excess water before adding it to your wash with similar items.
4
Wash
Wash as usual with Ariel, making sure to dose correctly. Always make sure to follow the instructions on your garment’s care label.
5
Unload
Then, when the wash cycle is over, simply remove the items and you’re ready to go.
Effective stain removal on many stains
When you’re enjoying a nice cup of tea, you’re likely to encounter other stains, too. Chocolate stains from the biscuits may find itself on your favourite blouse, or jam from your morning toast may slide onto your jeans. Don’t worry about it: Ariel has those stains covered, too.
For washing whites and tough stain removal, wash with Ariel Original Washing Powder. It can’t replace the feeling of that first coffee, but clean, fresh, stain free clothes are another great way to start the day.
